How to Boost Your Fiverr Gigs for Just $10: Increase Impressions, Clicks, & Conversions!

Selling on Fiverr can seem impossible when you first start out. You create your profile, design your gigs…and nothing happens. If you find yourself waiting weeks without any traction on your gigs, I found an easy fix. There are plenty of free options to boost your gigs and gain more impressions, clicks, and conversions. However, if you are willing to spend just $10, it can go a long way!

Why should you care about impressions?

You started selling on Fiverr to make money. Obviously, you care about conversions and sales. But have you stopped to think about your impressions? Fiverr provides stats on your impressions for a reason. The more eyes on your gigs, the better.

Impressions on Fiverr indicate how often your gigs are being seen in search results. When you are a brand-new seller, your impressions will not be very high. There is no reason for Fiverr to put your gigs at the top of search results because you are not a proven success. But, just like SEO for Google, there are ways to optimize your gigs for Fiverr search results.

Spend $5 on a Gig Image

Get a professional image made for your gig and use Fiverr to do it! If you designed your own gig image, you can still display it, but you should have a professionally created image as your featured image for your gig.

I have multiple gigs that all center around blogs or website copywriting. When I was frustrated about the lack of traction on my gigs in the first couple of weeks, I broke down and shelled out $5 to another seller. They created a Fiverr-friendly gig image that I was able to use on all of my gigs.

If your gigs are drastically different, you should purchase individual images that represent each gig. This will cost more than $5, so start with the gig you think will perform the best and test out adding a professional image. Also, if your gigs are very different from one another, you may need to rethink what you are selling on Fiverr.

What are Fiverr-friendly images?

When I say “Fiverr-friendly images,” I am referring to images that match the style commonly used on Fiverr. As with any sharing or selling platform, the Fiverr community has developed a style over the years that is used for most gig images.

If you want to see the style of image for your type of gig, check out the competition. You can even send examples of images you like to the Fiverr seller of your choice. Ask them to create a similar image without copying the original directly.

How to Find a Fiverr Seller for Gig Images

I switched to buying mode and blindly searched for “gig image.” I read reviews for different sellers and looked at their sample images. When I found a seller that matched the style I was looking for, I purchased a gig for a basic gig image.

I already knew the selling points I wanted to be included in my image as text, so I sent that to the seller in the gig requirements. I also let them know what kind of style I was going for with my gig image and the type of gig it would be used for. You want to avoid providing so much information that you stifle the seller’s creativity, but it is important to share all of the relevant details, especially if you already have a style or text in mind.

My gig image was ready in less than 24 hours, and I immediately added it to my gigs as the featured image. I rated and tipped my seller and waited to see what would happen.

Spend $5 on a Gig Video

The second half of your Fiverr gig-boosting $10 should go towards an animated gig video. Fiverr is all about gig videos, and they encourage sellers to add a short video to their gig. This video as added as media for your gig along with your gig image, and it is usually between 10 and 60 seconds.

I have no idea why Fiverr gig videos help promote your gigs so well. Maybe buyers really do respond better to videos. It could be because a video keeps them on your gig’s page for longer, or it shows an attention to detail by a seller that went the extra mile. If nothing else, many sellers do not add videos to their gig, so there is an opportunity to stand out. (Of course, Fiverr could promote videos because they get a cut of the profits when you purchase a video from another seller.)

Whatever the reason, gig videos help market your services and they take a surprisingly little amount of effort to create. You do not have to be a filming or video editing whiz to add a high-quality video to your gigs. I recommend starting out with a simple animation video because they are less expensive and get the job done.

How to Find a Fiverr Seller for Gig Videos

Again, if you want to follow my method, switch to buying mode and search for “gig video.” I suggest going with an animation-style video because they cost less, and they are fairly common for Fiverr gigs. This is the style I used, and it has worked for me.

I used the same process that I followed when searching for a gig image. I read reviews and checked out the seller’s portfolio or sample work. I also watched gig videos for other sellers offering similar blog writing services. Once I found a seller I liked, I sent them the text I wanted to be included in the video.

My video was done the next day and it only cost $5! I was really impressed with the quick turnaround and the overall quality. It’s not going to win any film awards, but it serves its purpose well.

But Does It Work?

For some people, $10 is nothing. But $10 can also be everything. If you do not have money to spare or you are starting your business with just a few dollars, $10 can be very precious.

It’s tempting for me to tell you that $10 is a very little investment, and you should just try it for yourself. If it doesn’t work for you, then no major harm is done. However, I understand that does not work for everyone.

I will tell you that your $10 investment will go far. Using my gigs as evidence, I can tell you that adding a gig image and gig video to your Fiverr gigs can work wonders. When I first started selling on Fiverr at the end of July, I only received one order in two weeks. It was very frustrating. Once I added my video and image, I received 37 orders in August and 94 in September. They have continued steadily since then thanks to my ratings and seller level.

Need Some Help?

I’m not saying my gigs are set up perfectly, but I have learned a few things over the last several months. You can see an example of my most popular gig and its setup here. Over time, I’ve updated my images and created my own to provide more visual information, but I am still using the first gig image and video I had created in August.
